Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Gatarn Games Ltd ("Clickstan", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Takeback app. We collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data.
Information we collect
- Account & profile. A name you choose to enter, and basic account identifiers if you sign in with Apple.
- Usage & analytics. How you interact with the app (screens viewed, features used, and anonymized event data) so we can improve it.
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and performance data so we can fix problems.
- Subscription data. Your purchase and subscription status, handled through Apple and our billing providers. We never receive your full payment card details.
- Screen Time data. The app usage and limits you set are processed on your device through Apple's Screen Time (FamilyControls / DeviceActivity / ManagedSettings) framework.
- Health data (steps), optional. If you allow it, your daily step count from Apple Health, used only to set and track a movement goal in the app.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the app: coaching, limits, timers, and reminders.
- To improve features and fix problems.
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To respond when you contact us.
Screen Time data stays on your device
Apple's Screen Time framework gives Takeback limited, on-device access to your app usage so the coach can step in at the right moment. The framework returns only anonymous tokens, not the names of the apps you use. This data is not transmitted to us, never leaves your device in identifiable form, and we never see your browsing history or the contents of the apps you use.
Health data (steps)
If you choose to grant access, Takeback reads your daily step count from Apple Health (read-only) to power an optional movement goal. Your step data stays on your device, is never used for advertising or marketing, is never shared with third parties, and is never stored in iCloud by us. Health access is optional. You can decline it, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings, and the app still works.
App Tracking Transparency
When you first open Takeback, iOS may ask whether you allow the app to track you across other companies' apps and websites (the App Tracking Transparency prompt). The app works exactly the same whether you allow or deny it, and no feature is locked behind your answer. You can change your choice any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Third-party services
We rely on a small set of trusted providers that process limited data on our behalf, each under its own privacy terms:
- Apple — App Store, sign in, subscriptions, and the on-device Screen Time and HealthKit frameworks.
- Google Firebase — authentication, crash reporting (Crashlytics), and app configuration.
- Mixpanel — anonymized product analytics so we can understand and improve the app.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management.
- Superwall — paywall display and optimization.
We do not share your Screen Time or Health data with any of these providers.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above who help us run the app, or where we are required to by law.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as we need it to provide the app, then delete or anonymize it.
Your choices and data deletion
You can delete your account directly in the app at Settings → Account → Delete Account, which removes the data associated with it. You can also request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us, revoke app permissions in iOS Settings, and manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account.
Children
Takeback is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page.
